Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei

14.Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei
(Also known as: The irregular at magic high school)
This has been enjoyable so far, it has yet to stand out though. The main appeal is the overpowered main character so if you like that sort of thing then check it out. It's definitely got some great action and animation.
Magic—A century has passed since this concept has been recognized as a formal technology instead of the product of the occult or folklore.

The season is spring and it is time for a brand new school year.
At the National Magic University First Affiliate High School, A.K.A Magic High School, students are divided into two distinct groups according to their academic performances. The "Bloom," who demonstrate the highest grades and are enrolled in the "First Course," and the "Weed," who have a poor academic record and are enrolled in the "Second Course."

This spring, a very peculiar brother and sister enroll as new students.

The brother is an under achiever with some deficiencies and enrolls as a "Weed," while his younger sister is an honor student, who enrolls as a "Bloom."

Ever since these two have entered through the gates of this prestigious school, the calm campus was beginning to change...

Log Horizon

14.Log Horizon
By far one of the best MMORPG anime, though the players are whisked away into a real fantasy world with gaming elements. Log Horizon has more depth than the usual protagonist doing hack and slash. The adventurers in Akihabara are all too smart and pro!

Psycho-Pass II

13.Psycho-Pass II
Psycho-Pass is set in the year 2113, where the Sibyl System (シビュラシステム, Shibyura Shisutemu?) is actively measuring a person's mental state, personality, and the probability that a person will commit crimes, all through a "cymatic scan" of the brain. The resulting assessment is called a Psycho-Pass (サイコパス, Saikopasu?). When the probability of committing a crime, measured by the Crime Coefficient (犯罪係数, Hanzaikeisū?) index, is too high in an individual, they are pursued and apprehended—with lethal force, if necessary.
The plot focuses on Akane Tsunemori, a new Inspector of Unit One, a police unit from the Public Safety Bureau's Criminal Investigation Division. As an Inspector, she hunts criminals alongside a special team of so-called latent criminals called Enforcers. Both Enforcers and Inspectors use large handguns called "Dominators", special weapons designed to fire only on those with a higher-than-acceptable Crime Coefficient. Even though Akane is ashamed of shooting the Enforcer Shinya Kogami during her first mission to protect a latent criminal, Kogami thanks her for stopping him from becoming a murderer which convinces Akane to stay. During some of Akane's first investigations, the group learns of a mastermind behind multiple crimes, Shogo Makishima. Being Criminally Asymptomatic (免罪体質, Menzai Taishitsu?), Makishima's criminal psychology yields a low Crime Coefficient, thus rendering him safe from the Dominator

Sword Art Online II

12.Swoed Art Online II

1 year after the SAO incident, Kirito is approached by Seijiro Kikuoka from Japan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications Department “VR Division” with a rather peculiar request.

That was an investigation on the “Death Gun” incident that occurred in the gun and steel filled VRMMO called Gun Gale Online (GGO). “Players who are shot by a mysterious avatar with a jet black gun lose their lives even in the real world…” Failing to turn down Kikuoka’s bizarre request, Kirito logs in to GGO even though he is not completely convinced that the virtual world could physically affect the real world.

Kirito wanders in an unfamiliar world in order to gain any clues about the “Death Gun.” Then, a female sniper named Sinon who owns a gigantic “Hecate II” rifle extends Kirito a helping hand. With Sinon’s help, Kirito decides to enter the “Bullet of Bullets,” a large tournament to choose the most powerful gunner within the realm of GGO, in hopes to become the target of the “Death Gun” and make direct contact with the mysterious avatar.

Hitsugi no Chaika

11.Hitsugi no Chaika
Both halves of this anime  (Hitsugi no Chaika and Hitsugi no Chaika: Avenging Battle) came out this year. This is for both
Toru Acura is a 20-year-old retired soldier meandering through life post-war. He encounters Chaika Trabant, a 14-year-old sorceress carrying a coffin, and follows her in hopes of finding some semblance of meaning in his life again. The two are accompanied by Toru's adopted sister Akari, the sole employed member of the group and thereby their source of sustenance.
The story quickly develops from there, and there is an over-arching plot (especially in the second half of the anime)

1.No Game, No Life

This series is so good so far: really likeable brother and sister MCs, great animation, vivid art style and great execution.

The story of No Game, No Life centers around Sora and Shiro, a brother and sister whose reputations as brilliant NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) hikikomori (shut-in) gamers have spawned urban legends all over the Internet. These two gamers even consider the real world as just another "crappy game." One day, they are summoned by a boy named "God" to an alternate world. There, God has prohibited war and declared this to be a world where "everything is decided by games"—even national borders. Humanity has been driven back into one remaining city by the other races. Will Sora and Shiro, the good-for-nothing brother and sister, become the "Saviors of Humanity" on this alternate world? "Well, let's start playing."
